It was a great feeling to be back on Kivisto field, and on such a beautiful day.
Trucks, tailgates, and the smell of hot dogs hot off the grill surrounded Memorial Stadium. The first ‘person’ I see walking around on the field is Big Jay, he gave me a wave, and I couldn’t help but take a selfie with
my favorite mascot.
Drumline stepped out onto the field playing their cadence and pre game commenced. The Marching Jayhawks came running out of the field, some looked excited, some exhausted, and some flat out terrified.
The first half of the game didn’t seem SouthEast Missouri even stood a chance, but they fought their way back on the board in the second half. However, KU sustained the lead throughout the game and we gained our first victory of the season.
Here are my favorites from that day, and I can’t wait to be back October 11th!
